ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The City of Albuquerque kicked off the summer season with the first of its Summerfest series. The Heights Summerfest took place on Saturday at North Domingo Baca Park in northeast Albuquerque.
The city brought out live music, food trucks, drinks, and activities for people to enjoy. “I didn’t know what I was really expecting, so when I got here right before five o’clock, there wasn’t a lot of people. But now there’s tons of people and it’s just really cool to just see a lot of people in the community come to this,” said Travis Davis, Albuquerque resident.
The city will have two more Summerfests this year. Route 66 Summerfest will be held on July 20 in Nob Hill. The Westside Summerfest will be held on August 3 at the Ventana Ranch Community Park.
