Suspect in Clovis murder, kidnapping indicted federally on two charges

NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – A federal grand jury has indicted the murder suspect for kidnapping an infant from eastern New Mexico and taking her across state lines. Police say Alek Collins shot and killed Samantha Cisneros and Taryn Allen at Ned Houk Park in Clovis earlier this month. He’s also accused of shooting a five-year-old and then driving to Abilene, Texas where authorities arrested him.

Collins is facing two federal charges, kidnapping of a minor and using a gun during a crime of violence. He is also facing state charges for murder and child abuse.
