Tenor Stefan von Korch to debut in Carmina Burana on July 26 in Palermo Classica

After a successful appearance at the Zaragoza Auditorium with the Reino de Aragón Orchestra, tenor Ştefan von Korch continues his international activity this summer, debuting in Italy’s Palermo Classica on July 26 in Carmina Burana, a work he previously referred to as “an ace up his sleeve. “

The soloist thus receives international recognition for “Carmina Burana” – the most famous cantata in the world, which he has already performed 35 times and for which many specialists consider him to be the voice of reference for the tenor line in Romania.

About the scheduled appearance in Palermo Ştefan von Korch says: “It will be an experience of great intensity, which I am honored to share with such a select audience as the one from  opera’s homeland – Italy. It is a demanding but highly rewarding work, with superb solo and choral lines and overwhelmingly rich orchestral arrangements, that remains in the memory of any viewer.

The concert will take place on July 26 at 9:15 p.m. and will bring together under the baton of conductor Linhan Cui, Stefan von Korch – tenore, Celin Mun – soprano, Stepan Drobit – baritono, Kristina Miller – piano, Alexander Yakovlev – piano, Palermo Classica Ensemble on Percussion, Polifonico del Balzo Choir – Vincenzo Pillitteri Choir Master. The event is part of the Palermo Classica concert series, which takes place between July 26 and September 20 at the Complesso Monumentalo dello Steri.
