The Beatles announce 60th anniversary reissue of ‘A Hard Day’s Night’

The Beatles have announced a brand new reissue of their album ‘A Hard Day’s Night’ in celebration of its 60th anniversary.

The reissue is also in celebration of National Album Day and will come in the form of a limited edition 180g white pressing of the 1964 LP. The ‘A Hard Day’s Night’ 60th anniversary reissue is set for release on October 19 and can be pre-ordered here.

Released as their third studio album, ‘A Hard Day’s Night’ was penned solely by Paul McCartney and John Lennon, highlighting the development of their songwriting partnership. The LP also served as a partial soundtrack to the band’s first film of the same name and includes its titular track and ‘Can’t Buy Me Love’ which both became transatlantic Number One singles for the group.

Elsewhere, Macca recently performed The Beatles track ‘Now And Then’ live for the first time.

The music legend introduced the song to his set as he played live at the Centenario Stadium in Montevideo, Uruguay on Tuesday (October 1). The performance marked the opening night of his ‘Got Back’ tour, which is set to continue across South America, the UK and Europe over the coming weeks.

Arriving in November 2023, ‘Now And Then’ was released as the “final” song to be shared from the Liverpool four-piece. It was made with the help of AI technology, and the last track to include all members: McCartney, Ringo Starr and the late George Harrison and John Lennon.

McCartney is due to arrive home on UK shores this December, which will include two shows in Manchester and two in London. You can purchase any remaining tickets here.

In other Beatles news, a new documentary titled 1964 is coming to Apple TV+ this year to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the group conquering the United States.
