Chapter 188 starts with Arthur and an escort looking for Professor Glory. Arthur finds her and sends the escort back. However, he asks Arthur about Captain Audyyr, and the former tells him he will meet him tomorrow since he is still drunk. He joins Mrs. Glory on the cliff and asks her if a lookout should be drinking, but she asks him the same thing after seeing how red his cheeks are.

Mrs. Glory asks him if he thinks they will win the war against the Vritra, and he tells her he is unsure but will do everything to ensure they do. Arthur tells her he has let down many people before and will ensure it doesn’t happen again. She asks if this concerns what happened at Xyrus Academy, and he nods in response. He asks her what happened as Tessia, Curtis, and Kathlyn seem to have put it behind them.

Despite her initial reluctance, Mrs. Glory tells him everything about the injured students to Kai’s treachery. After hearing Arthur reminisce about his past life, he tries to suppress his emotions. However, Vanesy cheers him up, telling him they wouldn’t have been able to rebuild the school without him. The episode ends with Arthur and Vanesy returning to the party while Sylvie takes over her duties.
