However, by 2013, Tylo decided it was time to move on after her contract expired.

In an interview with Télé Star, she revealed that the show’s dynamic shifted dramatically following the exits of prominent stars Ronn Moss and Susan Flannery. Tylo had initially viewed Flannery’s departure as an opportunity for her character to step into a new, more central role. However, she expressed disappointment that the show’s direction focused more on Brooke Logan’s family instead of allowing her character to thrive as a matriarch.

Tylo’s commitment to her family also played a role in her initial exit from the show in 2002. She took time off to care for her daughter, Katya, who had been diagnosed with retinal cancer shortly after birth.
