Episode 11 of The Midnight Romance in Hagwon saw a tense argument between Lee Joon-Ho and Seo Hye-Jin due to their different approaches to teaching students. Joon-Ho decided to change the textbook and curriculum for the semester to improve their quality. While he wanted students to focus on understanding the text, Hye-Jin focused on students getting the right questions so that they could master their exams. This led to their professional argument and dug holes in their relationship.

The Midnight Romance in Hagwon Episode 11: Wi Ha-Joon & Jung Ryeo-Won get into a disagreement

The latest episode 11 of The Midnight Romance in Hagwon began with Seo Hye-Jin secretly leaving Lee Joon-Ho’s house after his mom arrived unannounced. However, his mother discovered her son’s dating life when she found two toothbrushes and a woman’s perfume in the bathroom. Later, Joon-Ho argued with his mother after she asked him to consider a job his father managed to get him.

Joon-Ho requested his parents to stop planning his future. Meanwhile, Hye-Jin was worried about the school teacher Pyo Sang-Seob’s new Choiseon Korean Academy director job. Before leaving for the academy, Joon-Ho deleted the textbook he prepared for the Korean language and literature. He aimed to create a new curriculum that would have students understand literature rather than focus on exam questions. Later, Joon-Ho met with Hye-Jin, apologizing for his mother’s sudden arrival.

At Daechi Chase, director Kim Hyun-Tak hoped to promote Hye-Jin, but it didn’t sit well with assistant director Wo Seung-Hee. Meanwhile, student Ha-Yool gave teacher Pyo Sang-Seob her analysis of a book. She followed his advice of reading a book every semester, which moved Sang-Seob. On the other hand, Seung-Hee met with Choiseon Korean director Choi Hyeong-Seon. She handed over Hye-Jin’s notes over the past ten years, determined to bring her down.

Seung-Hee wanted to remove Hye-Jin from the picture, ruin Hyun-Tak, and take control as a director. However, Hyun-Tak had bought her own Victory Academy at a cheap price after it incurred losses. Seung-Hee asked Hyeong-Seon to have Pyo Sang-Seob meet her so she could hand him the files.

Joon-Ho’s best friend, Choi Seung-Gyu, asked Nam Cheong-Mi out the following day. Meanwhile, Sang-Seob met Hyeong-Seon, who advised him to steal Hye-Jin’s notes and teach the students. She asked him to meet Seung-Hee, who would hand him those files. Although Sang-Seob seemed hesitant, Hyeong-Seon insisted on the plan, given how Hye-Jin was an expert at predicting the exam questions.

Back at the Daechi Chase Academy, Hye-Jin grew furious at Joon-Ho for deleting the current textbook that he was working on. Joon-Ho stressed the importance of making students understand books rather than memorize or focus on exam questions. This led to a bitter argument between the two. Hye-Jin left the academy to spend time alone when Sang-Seob asked to meet her.

By the end of the episode, Sang-Seob revealed how Seung-Hee had handed over her ten years’ worth of notes. This infuriated Hye-Jin, who thanked Sang-Seob for informing her. She advised him to take it and not go against Hyeong-Seon for his sake. However, Sang-Seob informed her of student Ha-Yool’s book analysis, which gave him the confidence to teach his way. The episode ended with Joon-Ho’s arrival in the middle of their meeting.
