The Miracle in Mundelein Returns with Wiz Khalifa, Slightly Stoopid, Rebelution and More

RMAG news

Green Thumb Industries has officially unveiled the full artist lineup for the second annual iteration of The Miracle in Mundelein, which made headlines in 2023 as Chicago’s first outdoor music festival with legal cannabis consumption. Set to return on September 7 and 8 across from RISE Dispensary in Mundelein, Ill., this year’s Miracle will feature some key figureheads of the 4/20 friendly movement, led by Wiz Khalife, Slightly Stoopid and Rebelution. In keeping with its custom, the festival will complement the music with a vast array of cannabis-themed experiences to keep the good times rolling.

Beyond the all-star headliner trio of big names from hip-hop, ska-punk and reggae-rock, The Miracle in Mundelein will also welcome Raekwon The Chef and RZA of the legendary hip-hop collective Wu-Tang Clan, who will perform alongside rising New Orleans brass funk octet The Soul Rebels before Khalifa on Saturday. Steel Pulse will also perform on Saturday, and Shwayze will take the stage on Sunday before Rebelution and Slightly Stoopid. DJ support will round out the bill, with DJ Ca$h Era and DJ Papa G performing on Saturday and Sunday respectively.

Beyond the stage, attendees will enjoy a variety of weed-based activities, including rolling stations, a cannabis beverage garden and dab bars. Beyond these official event activities, the site will once again welcome an impressive host of thematically appropriate brand activations. “The inaugural Miracle in Mundelein was brought to life by a simple thesis that many of us have known for a long time: good music plus good weed equals a good time,” Ben Kovler, CEO of Green Thumb Industries shared in a release. “Building on the positive feedback from last year, we look forward to putting on an even better event this year with legendary artists like Wiz Khalifa and fun on-site experiences such as joint rolling contests.”

On the event’s return, storied promoter and founder of Dayglo Presents Peter Shapiro offers, “Last year we achieved our goal to create a new type of event that uplifts cannabis in a legal environment, while also supporting and growing a real community. We received such positive feedback from attendees about the ability to consume freely while enjoying their favorite artists and feeling an immense amount of normalcy around public consumption – something we see as the future of weed and live music. The anticipation around year two is electric and we are thrilled to deliver on another Miracle in Mundelein!”
