The Rotation Part thing

The Rotation Part thing

YES, we are back with another one!

I have recently been working on creating a base for the turret that will enable it to rotate. I want to make it circular to simplify construction and facilitate the integration of components necessary for rotation (Image1). My goal is to gradually build up the turret because I want to avoid a square, bulky appearance. This rotating base is crucial for the overall rotation of the turret, so I don’t want to make any mistakes.

The current bulky square base will still serve as my main base since I want to put all the components there and allow ample space in case wiring and other elements get out of hand. Imagine having this rotating base and placing it on top of the square base (Image2). Then, all I need to do is screw them together, and bam! After this, I might extend it a bit more to start making the neck of the turret or a small platform where the camera will be.

I don’t show it here, but I also want to add some buttons similar to the image below. I really like how the buttons are incorporated in that design and want to create my own version(Image3).

The sharp, crazy-looking teeth on the turret are mainly there to allow visibility and ventilation once I place it on top of the base.

Next time I post, I will definitely have this printed and share a live picture of the overall progress. I would have liked to make more progress, but work and other commitments have been keeping me very busy.

Stay tuned for part two of this update!
