The Strangers: Chapter 1 PVOD release date for Lionsgate’s newest horror thriller has been revealed. This comes after over two weeks since the Madelaine Petsch-led movie had made its theatrical debut.
“After their car breaks down in an eerie small town, a young couple are forced to spend the night in a remote cabin,” reads the synopsis. “Panic ensues as they are terrorized by three masked strangers who strike with no mercy and seemingly no motive in THE STRANGERS ― CHAPTER 1, the chilling first entry of this upcoming horror feature film series.”

The Strangers: Chapter 1 will be available on Premium Video on Demand and Premium Electronic Sell-Through starting this Friday, June 7, 2024. During its theatrical run, the film earned a worldwide gross of over $32 million at the box office against a reported budget of around $8.5 million.
The film was directed by Renny Harlin from a screenplay written by Alan R. Cohen and Alan Freedland, based on story by original franchise creator Bryan Bertino. It stars Madelaine Petsch (Riverdale), Froy Gutierrez (Hocus Pocus 2), Gabriel Basso (The Night Agent), and Ema Horvath (What Lies Below). It was produced by Courtney Solomon, Mark Canton, Christopher Milburn, Gary Raskin, Alastair Burlingham, and Charlie Dombek.
