The Wiggles' Caterina Mete Shares Baby News

Caterina Mete, star of The Wiggles, has shared some wonderful news: she’s given birth to twin girls.

Taking to Instagram today (4 July), Mete shared the news by sharing photos of herself holding her baby girls, some additional photos, and an adorable video you can see below.

Mete captioned the post, “I am so thrilled to announce the arrival of my precious twin girls, Dolly and Gigi. My heart is overflowing with happiness as I welcome to the world my two little miracles. Thank you all for your love and support during this special time.”

In a recent interview with maternity publication The Inarra, Mete revealed that her journey to motherhood hasn’t been easy as a 43-year-old woman who became pregnant via a donor.

She unfortunately suffered a miscarriage after the first round, but after her second embryo transfer, she became pregnant with twins.

“It was truly a miracle!” she told the publication. Mete said of anticipating the twins’ birth: “I’m so excited about motherhood and the journey it takes you on. I feel so lucky that I will have double the love, double the smiles and two little girls to share life with.”

Responding to Mete’s news, The Wiggles made a post of their own on their Instagram account, writing, “We are so happy for Caterina and the arrival of her beautiful twin girls, Dolly and Gigi!

“Her journey to motherhood has been truly inspiring, and we can’t wait to meet these adorable new additions to The Wiggles family.

“Please join us in congratulating Caterina and her family!”

Earlier this year, The Wiggles found themselves at the top of an Australian albums chart, but not the one you’d expect.

Following the release of their full-blown EDM album (released under the moniker of The Wiggles Sound System), Rave Of Innocence, The Wiggles stormed to the top of the ARIA Australian Dance Albums Chart, overtaking Sia and Rüfüs Du Sol.
