SANTA FE, N.M. (KRQE) – The International Women’s Forum of New Mexico, along with the city of Santa Fe, dedicated a set of historic markers honoring trailblazing women in New Mexico’s history.
Established in 2006, the New Mexico Historic Women Marker Program highlights contributions of more than 100 women in the state’s history. The new markers honor Dorothy McKibbin, Myra Ellen Jenkins and Dona Teresa de Aguilera y Roche. All three women helped shape history in the state. The new markers are located along the Santa Fe River. For more information on the women honored by the program, click here.
