This past weekend (August 31), Adele performed the final show of her Munich residency. During the show, she announced that she had 10 remaining dates in Las Vegas this year, before going on an indefinite hiatus.

“I’m not the most comfortable performer, I know that, but I am very fucking good at it. And I have really enjoyed performing for nearly three years now, which is the longest I’ve ever done and probably the longest I’ll ever do,” she said.

Adele’s final show before her long break takes place on November 23 at the The Colosseum in Las Vegas. Tickets for the show were originally priced between US$400 for regular tickets and $1000 for VIP passes.

Now, however, Viagogo and last-minute ticketing site Gametime have revealed a surge in prices. According to Viagogo’s pricing, tickets for the November 23 show now cost between $3819 and a whopping $17,050. Gametime tickets are ranged between $2166 and $18,766.

This marks the latest instance of ticket prices surging for major concerts. Most recently, Oasis fans were caught off-guard over the weekend while trying to score highly coveted tickets to the band’s reunion shows next year after Ticketmaster’s automatic “dynamic pricing” system kicked in, boosting ticket prices from around £135 to over £488 for some fans.

Since then, Oasis have said that they were unaware that Ticketmaster’s dynamic pricing system would be used. The European Commission has also said that they would be investigating the issue, following some experts alleging that not warning fans prior to the sale may have been a breach of consumer law.

During her Munich residency, Adele took a moment to praise Chappell Roan, calling the rising singer “absolutely amazing”. “She is spectacular, and it turns out, she’s not just got one song,” she said. “She’s got, like, seven fucking brilliant songs.”

She also confirmed her engagement to Rich Paul live on stage and performed her 2008 single ‘Chasing Pavements’ for the first time in seven years. At another gig, she paused the set to stream the semi-final and final of the women’s 100m Olympic races.
