This isn’t the first time Hemsworth has used his platform to boost Australian music. In June 2017, he posted a screenshot of himself playing Crying Shame by The Teskey Brothers on Instagram, writing in the caption:

Check out this little soul band all the way from my home town Melbourne @australia #teskybrothers #amazing just found out that the wonderful mother of these guys was the mid wife at Liam’s (my brother) birth so thanks for the music and thanks for Liam !

Hemsworth, a passionate music lover, shared a video from Irish star Dermot Kennedy’s show in December 2023. Also in December, Hemsworth was pictured holding Thor’s hammer with Ed Sheeran in the singer’s 2023 wrap post.

Earlier in 2023, Sheeran gave Hemsworth a guitar in exchange for the iconic hammer pictured in the films. The exchange was posted on Instagram—check it out below.

On Friday (2 August), Fanning Dempsey National Park released their debut album, The Deluge, to great anticipation and led the inaugural The Music Sessions, where 150 lucky punters got to hear the album a day early, played in its entirety in vinyl, with the duo participating in an epic Q&A with Richard Kingsmill halfway through the album.
