UNM reports new trends in major choices

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The University of New Mexico has seen some changes over the last five years in what students end up studying come graduation time.

While many students begin their college careers pursuing degrees in subjects like science or art, UNM is seeing a shift in trends.

According to the College of Education and Human Sciences, roughly 300 students per year have switched their major to teaching.
