Voter system check begins in Bernalillo County

BERNALILLO COUNTY, N.M. (KRQE) – Bernalillo County Clerk Linda Stover announced the beginning of a voting system check ahead of the 2024 Primary Election. This is in adherence to the New Mexico Statutes Annotated NMSA 1-14-13.2 and NMAC 1.10.23.9.

The check began on Friday, June 28 at 9:00 a.m. at the Voting Machine Warehouse at 2400 Broadway SE, Building H. The check will continue until it’s completed.


What to know for the June 2024 New Mexico primary election

A county press release states a voting system check is conducted at least 90 days before each general election. A state-qualified auditor verifies the accuracy of electronic vote tabulators used at precincts, alternate voting locations, and absentee ballots.
