Warm temperatures continue with few rain chances

The potentially record breaking heat continues across New Mexico. The best rain chances this evening will be in the Gila Wilderness.

Summer is sticking around New Mexico in the form of High Temperatures. Many cities and towns in northern and central New Mexico are continuing their streak of record and near-record high’s. These trends will continue as we move through the week.

Later this afternoon and into the evening the Gila Wilderness could experience as few spotty storms. Rain chances for the next few days will be isolated to the Gila and Northern Mountains. Saturday is looking very dry. Rain begins to increase across the state early next week.

Balloon Fiesta kicks off early Saturday Morning. Both Saturday and Sunday will have a comfortable start to the day with temperatures in the mid 50’s. Highs for the day will reach the low to mid 80’s. Right now, winds look supportive of green flag conditions on both Saturday and Sunday.
