Warm weather continues through the week

Northern and central New Mexico is facing another day of record breaking heat. Spotty showers coming later today to the Gila and Northern Mountains.

Summer like temperatures are keeping their hold on New Mexico as we end the Monsoon Season and move into October. Northern and central New Mexico will be seeing near-record and record breaking temperatures across the regions.

Later in the afternoon and through the evening spotty showers can be expected in the Northern Mountains and the Gila National Forest. These storms may produce a few rumbles of thunder, but should otherwise be light.

A cold front will be moving through New Mexico later tonight. While the front won’t be bringing very much rain, it will be cooling off temperatures. Especially in northern and central New Mexico. Cities like Santa Fe and Las Vegas can expect a near 10 degree temperature difference between today and tomorrows highs. The front will also bring more breezy conditions on Tuesday.
