Clairo performed an emotional cover of David Byrne’s 2002 track ‘Everyone’s In Love With You’ at her Stanford show yesterday (October 6).
The indie singer-songwriter kicked off her US tour in September in support of her new album ‘Charm’ at LA’s Fonda Theatre. Since then she has played in cities including New York, Houston and San Diego.
During her show at Stanford’s Frost Amphitheatre, she addressed the audience and announced “This is a song by David Byrne. It’s called ‘Everyone’s In Love With You’,” before being met with a roar of cheers from the crowd.
Clairo then sat on the floor of the stage, singing softly and adding a touch of melancholy to the Byrne track. Watch some fan-recorded footage below.

Clairo recently announced details of a UK and European tour, which will kick off in 2025. After the singer wraps up her stint across North America and Canada, she’ll head across the pond for 10 shows around Europe. You can purchase any remaining tickets here.

Clairo’s third album ‘Charm’ came out in July, receiving four stars from NME in a review that described the project as a “warm, inviting base to explore her longing from”.
It continued: “In the end, that’s what the desire of ‘Charm’ boils down to – the yearning to see and be seen, to be with people who not only want you back but understand you and make life that little bit easier to make it through.”
She also released a wrestling-inspired music video for ‘Juna’, her first video in six years. In other Clairo-related news, this summer she praised Charli XCX’s collaboration with Lorde. “I love that song,” she said of the ‘Girl, So Confusing’ remix. “I mean, they’re both geniuses to me.”
