As if it wasn’t wild enough that Liam and Noel Gallagher announced that they’d be getting the band – Oasis – back together for a run of shows in the UK and Ireland for 2025 in August, Australia also gets to join in the fun.
The rumoured dates and venues for the tour have turned out to be true, with the band today announcing that they’ll perform at Marvel Stadium in Melbourne on Friday, 31 October 2025, and Accor Stadium in Sydney on Friday, 7 November 2025.
Referencing one of the greatest hits to come out of Australia, the brothers said of their return down under:

Fans can register for pre-sale tickets until 8 am AEDT tomorrow. Sign up here to access tickets before they go on sale next week. The pre-sale will take place on Monday, 14 October.
To access the pre-sale ballot, fans must answer the following question correctly and tick which city they’d like to attend. The question is: “Which Oasis song won Triple J’s Hottest 100 in 1995?”
Once you’ve entered the ballot, successful applicants will be contacted with a unique code on Friday, 11 October 2024, with the email containing the details and timings for the pre-sale that begins on Monday. If you’re not selected for the pre-sale ballot, you can try to buy tickets through the general sale.
In terms of general sale tickets, Melbourne tickets will go on sale to the general public from 10 am AEDT on Tuesday, 15 October, while Sydney tickets will be available from 12 pm AEDT the same day. Check out the Oasis website for more ticketing information.
The tour marks the first time Oasis have performed in Australia in 19 years.
Last month, it was reported that Oasis would tour Canada, North America, Mexico, South Korea, Japan, Australia (Melbourne and Sydney), Brazil, Chile, and Argentina. The band confirmed a North American tour just weeks ago.
Over the weekend, Oasis started teasing following the report that Australia would be included in their reunion tour.
The band teased the tour by sharing photos of billboards snapped in Sydney and Melbourne. The billboards carry the simple message: “Australia, It’s Your Shout”. On social media, the band wrote that the official tour announcement would arrive today at 8 am AEDT.
We already knew that the Gallaghers were dusting off their passports, with The Music revealing in late September that the tour was likely to visit Melbourne and Sydney.
On 23 August, Liam Gallagher lit a fire under the rumour mill of the Oasis reunion at his Leeds Festival headline set (per NME), where he said: “It is very interesting, innit? It is a very interesting situation we’ve found ourselves in.” He reportedly dedicated Half The World Away to “Noel fucking Gallagher”, and at the end of his set, the Oasis 25 artwork appeared on the screens.
There have been numerous close calls regarding an Oasis reunion in the past. In May 2023, The Sun reported that there was a proposed deal offered for a reunion. However, in the week that news broke, Noel called Liam “disingenuous”, and Liam called Noel a “coward” and a “bellend”.
Liam then tweeted again that his brother is “full of shit he HATES oasis fans doesn’t mind them buying his records.”
In 2022, Liam expressed interest in a possible Oasis reunion in an interview with The Times.
“I’d love Oasis to get back together. If it happens, it happens,” he said. “We should never have split up, but we did, and this is where we’re at.”
