Weather Cools Suddenly with Rain Expected

Meteorologists announce a cooling of the weather in the second part of this week. Instead of the heat wave, the rains come, which will cross most areas and cool the atmosphere. Temperatures will be lower by more than 10 degrees Celsius, including in Bucharest.

Most of the country will be affected by the rains “from this very afternoon, especially the mountainous areas, then in the central, western, southwestern part of the country. There, rainfall can exceed 15-25 liters per square meter. Hail will also be possible.

In the south and southeast temperatures will approach – and slightly exceed – 35C.

“A heat yellow code is in effect today, but from tomorrow the weather will be unsettled, cooling even in the south-east of the country, so that temperatures across the country will be between 22 and 28, at most 29 degrees. In the Capital there will be a maximum of around 27 degrees. We are also talking about phenomena of instability in most of the country. There will be torrential showers accompanied by gale-like wind intensifications, with hail and amounts of water that may exceed 25-35 liters per square meter,” said Elena Mateescu general director of National Meteorologic Administration.

She added that on the Black Sea coast the weather will be still favorable for sunbathing, as there would be brief showers and high temperatures around 25 degrees.
