Gary Wayt went missing days after he got engaged to Amber Portwood.
As per US Weekly, on June 11, the Bryson City Police Department revealed in a Facebook post that Wayt was last seen on June 9 at Arlington Ave. The police officials provided a detailed description of Gary Wayt to seek help from the locals.
The post states, “Missing person GARY R. WAYT. 39 yrs old. 6’01” 205 pounds bald with brown eyes, last seen 06/09/2024 on Arlington Ave. area of Bryson City NC. Drive a grey SUV 2009 Nissan Rogue with Indiana state registration plate WLH 616. Any information please call 828488-2196.”
Moreover, a source close to Amber revealed that the reality TV star isn’t holding up well after her boyfriend’s disappearance and is trying to find him. Portwood filed a missing person report for Gary Wayt with the local police on June 10.
Portwood introduced Wyat to the world on Teen Mom through a Zoom call. A US Weekly report suggests that Amber and Gary got engaged within the last two weeks of the show. Their relationship has mostly remained private and away from social media. A source also mentioned that their engagement marked a positive turn in their lives, stating, “They’ve been in couple’s therapy and talk about everything. They’re being very proactive in their relationship and are doing the work to prevent problems before they start.”
