Visibly frustrated, he limped off the field and slammed his helmet down on the sideline. Mertz was later seen on crutches with a knee brace. Coach Billy Napier confirmed that Mertz will undergo surgery, ending his season and college career.

Graham Mertz will not return to play for the Florida Gators this season after suffering an ACL injury.
