Wheel of Fortune is set to enter its post-Pat Sajak era after the longtime host was replaced by Ryan Seacrest. Sajak, who occupied the hosting duties for over four decades, bid adieu to the show last year. As of now, no official release date for the first Wheel of Fortune episode featuring Ryan Seacrest has been announced.
However, there are some speculations regarding the premiere schedule of the Merv Griffin-created show. In a promotional video uploaded by Wheel of Fortune’s YouTube channel, Seacrest could be seen sharing the stage with the series’ designated letter-turner Vanna White.
The snippet also confirmed that the upcoming season of the show will come out in the fall of 2024. Judging by past trends, the celebrated game show has majorly premiered a new installment in September. Interestingly, the fall release of Season 42 fits right into the release pattern of its predecessors.
Consequently, it is expected that the new season, with Ryan Seacrest as the host, could premiere in September 2024. The seasoned reality show host will replace the exiting Pat Sajak, who left the show following the conclusion of Season 41. Having hosted the series since 1981, he departed his on-screen home on his own terms last year.
Despite Sajak quitting, his longtime co-host, Vanna White, is set to extend her tenure on the series. She is also a veteran of the game show, having occupied the role of the letter-turner since 1982.
