In an interview with Cracked, Samantha Bee revealed that she met her Jason Jones when they were doing children’s theater. Soon after that, the pair started dating sometime in 1996. Since both were correspondents on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, fans speculated that Bee had pulled some strings to get him the job, but Bee denied the rumors. “No, contrary to popular belief. I don’t know if there’s a television show in the history of television shows in which you could actually do that,” stated Bee.
The couple tied the knot on October 13, 2001, and they have three children together. Their two daughters are Piper and Ripley, along with their son Fletcher. The family lives together in Manhattan, New York. Speaking about balancing work and family, Jones stated in Yahoo!’s My Three Cents podcast, “I have to be honest, I don’t see how you don’t work with your wife. Couples that have just these separate lives are so disconnected in so many ways. We can’t escape each other, which is kind of great because I think when you escape each other, you grow apart. So, it’s kind of been a success secret to our relationship, really. We’re always together.”
He further added, “I love my kids. I love my wife. I love my job. So, it makes for an easy life. It makes for an easy balance.”
