WinterWonderGrass Steamboat has unveiled the artist lineup for the festival’s return in 2025. Set to take place in Steamboat Springs, Colo. from Feb. 28 to March 2, 2025, the 12th annual festival will feature performances from beloved acts like Daniel Donato’s Cosmic Country and six-piece bluegrass outfit Trampled by Turtles, as well as Colorado native jam bands Leftover Salmon and Yonder Mountain String Band.
WinterWonderGrass Steamboat’s stacked bill highlights today’s best folk, bluegrass, jam grass, Americana, and roots performers with stagings from retro-soul ensemble The California Honeydrops, bluegrass quartet Kitchen Dwellers, The Brothers Comatose and Lindsay Lou, among others. The three-day event also promises special supergroup performances: Dark Star Orchestra’s Rob Eaton will team up with Kyle Hollingsworth of The String Cheese Incident as Pickin’ On The Dead, a WonderGrass institution that arrived as a clear highlight of its 2024 staging. Additional billings include Sam Bush Band, Kyle Tuttle and Mountain Grass Unit.
WinterWonderGrass is a community affair. “We create these experiences for the love—the love of community, our culture, and each other,” said founder Scotty Stoughton. “You’ve never seen a fest like this before,” agreed Kyle Tuttle, who plays banjo for Molly Tuttle and Golden Highway, alluding to the event staff’s “unmatched level of dedication.” These words are truer than ever this year, as a portion of all WinterWonderGrass ticket proceeds will support hurricane relief efforts in North Carolina.
