Woman sentenced for her role in 2023 Albuquerque murder

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – A judge sentenced a woman to five years behind bars for her role in a good samaritan’s murder. Rosalynn Lee pled guilty to aggravated assault and battery for the deadly incident last year at a Circle-K on Lomas and Juan Tabo.

Authorities say her husband Eric Ford attacked a clerk when a bystander, Michael Urisote, stepped in to help. Lee then hit Urisote with a cane and encouraged Ford to shoot him and Ford did.

In court on Monday, Urisote’s mother described the final phone call she had with him telling her he was in pain. “So when I got there, he was on the ground, and the paramedics were with him and the police officer didn’t let me get to him. And they took him in the ambulance and I thought I would never get to see him again. And I never got to say goodbye,” said Yvette Desoto, Urisote’s mother.

Ford pled guilty to killing Urisote last month and faces up to 25 years in prison.
