Zoo in Clovis hosting pumpkin carving contest

CLOVIS, N.M. (KRQE) – It is almost time to start practicing your pumpkin carving. On September 21, people will get to carve pumpkins, put a light inside, and create a path throughout the Hillcrest Park Zoo in Clovis.

There will also be a pumpkin carving contest judged by the zoo keepers. pumpkins are $5 each. The winner and their four guests will get a behind-the-scenes tour with the zoo director. The event will start at 6:30 p.m. and go until 8 p.m.
