ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – An Albuquerque woman pled guilty in court on Wednesday to murdering a teenager during a drug deal four years ago. In court, 21-year-old Serina Burks pled guilty to being one of four people connected to the murder of 19-year-old Andres Loera.
According to court records, the then 16-year-old Burks set up a drug deal with Loera near IndianSchool and Hoffman in February 2020. Loera was robbed and shot at about a dozen times. Burks was sentenced to 19 years in prison for first-degree murder and armed robbery.
