New Mexico launches new child support payment service

NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – Changes are being made to the way parents in New Mexico can pay child support. The state is launching Point & Pay, a new no-fee online and phone payment service.

“We are committed to making the payment process as easy and efficient as possible for our customers to ensure their children receive the financial assistance they need,” Betina Gonzales McCracken, director of the New Mexico Child Support Services Division, stated in a news release. “The new Point & Pay platform will provide a user-friendly experience with no additional costs to customers.”

Child support customers who currently use E-Bill Express for recurring payments need to transition to Point & Pay to avoid any interruptions in their payments. E-Bill Express will no longer be supported after Sept. 30, 2024.

Point & Pay also allows for one-time payments without creating an account, the state said.

For more information about the transition, visit the frequently asked questions page on the Point & Pay’s website or contact HCA at 1-800-283-4465, 7 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
