Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan recently released the trailer of his acting coach Vinod Rawat’s directorial debut, Pushtaini. The trailer has garnered significant attention from fans and industry insiders alike. Roshan took to social media to share the highly awaited trailer and speak about how this project came about.

On his Instagram handle, Hrithik Roshan shared the trailer of Pushtaini, praising Vinod Rawat’s efforts and creativity. Hrithik recounted how Rawat approached him with the script, and although initially skeptical, he was eventually moved by the final product. The actor expressed his admiration in a heartfelt note.
“To my utmost surprise and delight, the film made me laugh, it made me cry, and I came away absolutely awestruck with what this man had achieved singlehandedly, without any help whatsoever. Pushtaini had a heart and it had won mine,” Hrithik Roshan wrote.
Vinod Rawat, who has previously directed season 1 of Disney+ Hotstar’s Emmy-nominated series Aarya, ventures into a new territory with Pushtaini. The film features Rawat in the lead role as Bhuppi, a struggling actor facing the consequences of an embarrassing scandal. Forced to return home and confront his past, Bhuppi embarks on a journey through the mountains, encountering various adventures and strangers along the way.
The upcoming film is co-written by Rita Heer, who also plays a prominent character in the movie. Furthermore, the cast includes non-professional actors, many of whom are Rawat’s family members. Adding to the anticipation, it also features a cameo by Rajkummar Rao.
For those unaware, his collaboration with Roshan dates back to the 2017 film Kaabil. He was the actor’s coach. Rawat expressed his gratitude for the support from Hrithik Roshan and others who believed in his vision. Vinod Rawat’s Pushtaini will be released on June 21, 2024.
