Albuquerque man sentenced for 2020 murder

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Rashad Duhart was sentenced on Friday for a murder in connection to a robbery gone wrong case from 2020. According to court records, four people set up a drug deal with Andres Loera near Indian School and Hoffman in February 2020. When he arrived, they shot him a dozen times and robbed him.


Albuquerque man accused of December murder to stay behind bars

Duhart was found guilty of first-degree murder and armed robbery last month. Judge Bruce Fox sentenced him to life in prison plus ten years. Markell Barnes pled guilty to armed and conspiracy charges. He’s serving a 12-year sentence. Ryan Baca was found guilty of first-degree murder and is waiting to be sentenced. Serina Burks, who was 16 years old at the time, is still awaiting trial on murder and armed robbery charges.
