However, series creator Dennis Lehane spoke about it in an interview with Indie Wire back in July 2022. “I’m working on a project for Apple TV+ based on a podcast called “Firebug,” which was about the greatest serial arsonist in California’s history,” he said.

Filming for Apple TV Plus’ Firebug reportedly started in Vancouver in March 2024. Considering the time that a full-length series generally spends in production and post-production, Firebug will likely premiere in 2025 at the earliest.
