Bucharest Stock Exchange & DRUID Launch AI Virtual Assistant Q

The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) has launched the first version of the Q chatbot, an AI-based digital solution designed to answer questions for those interested in learning about the stock exchange and investments. This project aims to become a key resource for relevant information on stock exchange investments within about a year.

The Q virtual assistant is accessible on the stock exchange website, www.bvb.ro, is available only in Romanian, and can currently answer common questions such as how to open a trading account, a list of brokers, basic information about listed companies, and stock exchange fundamentals. The chatbot is in a progressive learning stage, so users are encouraged to ask many questions to help it understand their informational needs. Since it is still learning, Q may not always provide accurate answers. A dedicated team will review and verify the chatbot’s responses to ensure accuracy and improve its learning process.

“We continue our digital efforts to meet the needs of the local investor community in a world where quick access to information is essential. With this first version of the Q digital solution, we aim to make investment and capital market concepts more accessible and easier to understand. The launch of Q is a new initiative for those interested in financial education who want to learn more about savings management alternatives. This virtual assistant redefines how users interact with financial information, enhancing efficiency, automation, and growth in internal processes. We are pleased to have implemented this project with DRUID’s technological support, a Romanian start-up that participated in our flagship program, BVB Arena,” said Adrian Tanase, Managing Director of the Bucharest Stock Exchange.

The Q virtual assistant was developed in collaboration with DRUID, an end-to-end platform for creating conversational business applications based on artificial intelligence. This cooperation marks a new stage in the digitization of investor interactions within the local capital market. Q combines DRUID’s NLP technology with the language understanding capabilities provided by the ChatGPT integration through Microsoft Azure.

“I am pleased to see that DRUID technology supports BVB in its digitalization efforts, bringing significant benefits. Our solutions aim to streamline employees’ work, focusing on essentials, and to provide BVB investors with easier access to relevant information in a complex financial environment. We have achieved this through the Q virtual assistant, ensuring a smoother and more efficient interaction,” said Liviu Dragan, CEO of DRUID.

DRUID, a Romanian startup, was one of the finalists in the 2021 edition of the BVB Arena program, a project developed by the Bucharest Stock Exchange to highlight successful Romanian companies.
