Un fake news cu suporterii români despre care s-a dat înțeles că au scandat numele lui Vladimir Putin pe stadion, la meciul cu Ucraina, a fost postat pe rețelele sociale. Centrul pentru Comunicare Strategică din Ucraina a demontat clipul şi arată că sunetul adăugat la montaj provine dintr-o secvență unde Putin era înjurat pe stadion.
Clipul fals a fost preluat inclusiv în presa tabloidă din Marea Britanie.
