Dean Lewis Adds New Dates To Australian 'Epilogue' Tour

Dean Lewis has announced two new shows for his upcoming Australian tour, after tickets for the first dates sold out impressively fast.

Tickets for all seven dates on the initial run – comprising shows in Newcastle, Brisbane, Sydney, Hobart, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth – went on sale last Friday morning (June 14), prompting a surge of hype bigger than anyone could predict. Within hours, fans in Newcastle (whose show is locked in for Wednesday October 30 at the Civic Theatre), Sydney (Saturday November 2 at the ICC Theatre) and Melbourne (Friday November 8 at Rod Laver Arena) had all exhausted their respective allocations.

To meet his fans’ ravenous demand, Lewis has now added second shows in Sydney and Melbourne – in addition to the aforementioned dates, he’ll play again at the ICC Theatre on Sunday November 3, and Rod Laver Arena on Thursday November 7. Tickets to both of these shows – as well as the remaining four from last week’s announcement – are on sale now; head here to grab yours.

Lewis also announced that US singer-songwriter Daniel Seavey will open for every show on the upcoming tour. The former Why Don’t We member released his debut solo album, Dancing In The Dark, last August. He followed it up last month with the standalone single The Older You Get, with an acoustic version also arriving earlier in June.

Announcing the tour last week, Lewis said of his excitement for it: “Reaching this level in my career is beyond anything I ever imagined. It’s been my dream all along to perform at venues like these. It’s hard to believe that I started out playing to 100 people in tiny venues, and now I’m headlining places like Rod Laver Arena, Wembley, Ziggo Dome and the Royal Arena. This truly feels like a dream come true. I can’t wait for my fans around the world to experience my biggest and best shows yet.”

The tour comes in support of Lewis’ forthcoming third studio album, The Epilogue, which will be released on October 18 via Island. Lewis premiered the album’s lead single, All I Ever Wanted, at the tail end of May.
