Disney Plus‘s new TV and movie releases for May 6-12 2024 include an X-Men ’97 episode and the latest recently-developed Doctor Who season.
Starting on May 8, Disney Plus subscribers can check out a new episode of X-Men ’97, titled “Tolerance is Extinction – Part 2.” It is the second part of the three-part episodic story, which will wrap up the freshman season of X-Men ’97. It sees the X-Men, now including Cable, continue their conflict with Bastion, a human-sentinel hybrid planning to create a human utopia where mutants are enslaved.
Further, series creator Beau DeMayo has teased that this episode and the subsequent one will be very heartbreaking to watch. Therefore, fans can expect to see some major shocking events take place.
Along with this, on May 10, Doctor Who’s newest season also premieres with three episodes, “The Church on Ruby Road,” “Space Babies,” and “Devil’s Chord,” on Disney Plus. Starring Ncuti Gatwa as the latest iteration of The Doctor, this new season will see him and his companion Ruby Sunday (played by Millie Gibson) go on various adventures spanning multiple time periods from England’s Regency Era to future worlds ravaged by war.
Additional Disney Plus releases this week include Billy & Molly: An Otter Love Story, a documentary about a wild otter’s relationship with its new owner, Billy Mail, releasing on May 7. Further, Let it Be, a 1970 Michael Lindsay-Hogg-helmed documentary about The Beatles, will be released on May 8.
