First Trailer for Coming-of-Age Series ‘Me’ with Lucian-River Chauhan

“What we do when things go bad, it’s kinda what makes us who we are.” Apple TV has revealed an official trailer for a coming-of-age series titled Me, arriving in July this summer. This family series is described as “an elevated cinematic coming-of-age story” about a kid with superpowers, created by screenwriter Barry L. Levy (Vantage Point). When you have the power to become anyone, how do you define yourself? Me follows a 12-year-old kid named Ben who is in the throes of middle school as he adjusts to a newly blended family AND the realization that he has super powers. Throughout the 10-episode season, Ben goes on a journey of self-discovery and learns what having super powers truly means. The series stars Lucian-River Chauhan as Ben Vasani, Abigail Pniowsky as Max Davis, Dilshad Vadsaria as Elizabeth Vasani, Amanda Reid as Carter Kennedy, and Jessy Yates as Morgan, with guest stars Kyle Howard as Phil Davis and Sharif Atkins as Darren Kennedy. Not much to see here. Do we need another superpowers series right now? Does anyone really want this anymore? I’d rather a plain ‘ol coming-of-age story over more generic superpowers. // Continue Reading ›
