First Trailer for Zemeckis’ Single Shot ‘Here’ Movie Starring Tom Hanks

“This was our home. We lived here.” Sony Pictures has debuted the first official trailer for Here, the brand new Robert Zemeckis movie arriving in theaters this fall. It’s currently set for release in November, and is expected to premiere at the 2024 Venice Film Festival in a few months. The film takes place over 100 years in one living room. The camera will not move, change angles or even zoom in. From the reunited director, writer, and stars of Forrest Gump, Zemeckis’ Here is an original film about multiple families and a special place they inhabit. The story travels through generations in one place, capturing the human experience in its purest form. Starring Tom Hanks and Robin Wright, along with Paul Bettany, Kelly Reilly, Michelle Dockery, and others. This is a bold concept for a movie – though it’s similar to theater where it all takes place in one location over time. There’s also tons of CGI de-aging going on with both Hanks & Wright, and it doesn’t all look perfect yet, but I’ll see how it plays in context with the movie. The coolest part about this is the location starts out millions of years ago with the dinosaurs. Awesome! I hope it goes into the future, too. // Continue Reading ›
