Full Trailer for ‘Like A Dragon: Yakuza’ Series Based on the Video Game

“What’s that demon get out of all of this?” Prime Video has revealed the main official trailer for the series Like A Dragon: Yakuza, a new live-action adaptation of the video game series Yakuza made by SEGA. It will be streaming later this month in the US to watch via Prime Video. The title Like A Dragon: Yakuza flips around the original game title Yakuza: Like A Dragon. This Japanese action drama series plunges into the dark underworld of the yakuza, exploring the universal theme of family not only through bloodline but also through ties between yakuza bosses and their underlings, orphans and their caretakers, as well as mentors and students. These relationships are marked by deep affection at times, and by intense conflict at others, all intricately intertwined. Set in the fictional town of Kamurocho, the story unfolds across two intersecting timelines—1995 and 2005. The Japanese action thriller stars Ryoma Takeuchi as Kazuma Kiryu, Kento Kaku as Akira Nishikiyama, and Munetaka Aoki. The craziest thing is how this actually looks like a 90s video game cut scene turned into an entire TV series. Feels old school, but still entertaining? This’ll be wild. // Continue Reading ›
