HBO Max‘s new TV and movie releases for May 13-19 2024 include SMILING FRIENDS Season 2, the Max original Home Sweet Rome, and the action-thriller Sleepless.
Starting on Monday, May 13, HBO Max viewers can start streaming the second season of SMILING FRIENDS. SMILING FRIENDS is an Australian-American animated series geared towards adults. The main story focuses on a small company and its four employees who go on many unusual kinds of adventures where they aim to spread joy. Zach Hadel and Michael Cusack are the series creators.
Then on Wednesday, May 15, The action-thriller Sleepless arrives on HBO Max. This film starring Jamie Foxx in the lead role, follows Vincent Downs, a police officer who attempts to rescue his son, following his kidnapping by mobsters. Downs traverses a huge world filled with corrupt cops, powerful mob bosses and dangerous criminals, where he tries his best to surmount all odds to increase his chances of successfully saving his son.
Finally on May 16, Thursday, Home Sweet Rome drops on HBO Max. This is a slice-of-life fun story about Lucy, an energetic teenager who leaves her life in the United States along with her father and mother, when they settle down in Rome, Italy.
Also dropping on HBO Max this week are Murder in the Heartland, a true crime show about a murder that took place in the midwestern United States, and My Lottery Dream Home, Season 15, a reality show following lottery winners and contestants who scour for a dream home.
