Heeramandi Actor Taha Shah Badussha Reacts to Being Called ‘New’ Sushant Singh Rajput

The latest Netflix web series, Heeramandi, was a breakthrough for its lead actor, Taha Shah Badussha. The actor played the role of Nawab Tajdar Baloch in the Sanjay Leela Bhansali directorial. While Badussha is currently basking in the success of the web series, it took him years to reach the level where he is currently standing. Seeing his immense hard work, fans are calling him the new Sushant Singh Rajput.

Taha Shah Badussha began his acting journey with Shraddha Kapoor’s 2011 romance comedy Luv Ka The End. He then appeared in several films and shows, but none of them had a successful run. Yet, the actor was determined and climbed his way up. Similarly, the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput was known for making it big on his own in the industry. Having starting as a TV actor, he became a Bollywood star and with a vast fanbase. Even after his demise, the actor remains in the hearts of his fans.

With the new title bestowed on him, Taha Shah Badussha revealed how he wants to carry forward the late actor’s legacy.

Heeramandi’s Taha Shah Badussha wants to carry forward Sushant Singh Rajput’s legacy?

In a recent interview with Siddharth Kannan, the Heeramandi star revealed that he personally knew Sushant. He said, “I knew Sushant personally. I know how it is to come from outside. I would like to take his legacy forward. People have actually messaged me and told me that I am their new Sushant. How awesome is that? Because I know how much love the audience gave him. I just hope to live up to these expectations.”

The actor fondly remembered the late Chhichhore star and said, “He was a very philosophical and intelligent person. He would talk a lot about books, and I relate to him on that.” He added that he had a chance to work with Sushant Singh Rajput but could not bag the role, “I didn’t spend too much time with him; we talked only at events and parties. When I met him, we talked about NASA. We also talked about Kai Po Che because I was being considered for Amit Sadh’s character in the film, but I ended up not getting it because of the age difference.”
