Actor Abhishek Bachchan has officially joined the cast of the much-anticipated Housefull 5. This news has further set the franchise’s fanbase abuzz, promising an addition of laughter and charm with his well-known comedic flair.
Housefull 5 will see a lineup of Bollywood’s finest comedic talents. Currently, the cast includes Akshay Kumar, Anil Kapoor, Nana Patekar, Riteish Deshmukh, and Chunky Pandey. All the actors have previously contributed to the franchise’s massive success. The latest addition to the cast is Abhishek Bachchan, who was also part of the third film in the franchise. The film is set to start production in the UK in August 2024 under the direction of Tarun Mansukhani.

Abhishek Bachchan shared his excitement about returning to the franchise. He stated, “Housefull is one of my favorite comedy franchises, and coming back feels like returning home. It’s always been a great pleasure to work with Sajid Nadiadwala. I am looking forward to having mad fun on the sets with my co-stars, Akshay and Ritesh. I’m also so excited to collaborate again with my dear friend Tarun Mansukhani. I’m really looking forward to working with him again after Dostana. This is going to be a lot of fun.”
Producer Sajid Nadiadwala also expressed his enthusiasm about Bachchan rejoining the comedic ensemble. “I am thrilled to bring Abhishek back to the Housefull franchise. His dedication, comic timing, and sincerity will only elevate our film,” he said.
The Housefull series, which debuted in 2010, has consistently been a hit with audiences. Each film in the franchise has successfully captured the audience’s love, culminating in what will be the first Hindi cinema franchise to release a fifth installment.
With the addition of Abhishek Bachchan to the cast, Housefull 5 promises not only to uphold the legacy of its predecessors but also to enhance it, setting the stage for a rollicking adventure. The film will hit the screens on June 6, 2025 and is expected to be a major box-office success.
