Prem studies business under his father and elder brother Rajesh. Nisha, a student of computer science, is adored by her parents and older sister, Pooja. Prem and Nisha declare their love for one another and have a relationship in secret. But Pooja passes away in an accident, bringing the household to a standstill. Rajesh’s health declines as a result of his concerns for his motherless child’s future. Nisha’s father advises her to wed Rajesh and become Pooja’s child’s mother. Prem and Nisha give up their love. When Rajesh finds out the real reason for their sacrifice, fate steps in, blesses and unites the two loves.
Written and directed by Sooraj Barjatya , the cast features Madhuri Dixit as Nisha, Salman Khan as Prem, Mohnish Behl as Rajesh and Renuka Shahane as Pooja.
