More than a decade after their last major outing, Jane’s Addiction has announced a North American tour, including a stop at YouTube Theater in Inglewood on Wednesday, Oct. 16.
This tour marks the first time since 2010 that the ’90s alt-rock legends will hit the road, featuring the original lineup—vocalist Perry Farrell, drummer Stephen Perkins, guitarist Dave Navarro, and bassist Eric Avery—reuniting for the first time in years.
Jane’s Addiction, known for pioneering the alternative rock movement, has had a profound influence on the genre. Their fusion of punk, metal, and psychedelic sounds helped define a generation, with hits like “Been Caught Stealing” and “Jane Says” becoming anthems of the era. The band has been credited with helping launch Lollapalooza, which began as their farewell tour in 1991 but evolved into a renowned music festival.
In 2022, Avery rejoined the band after leaving in 2010. However, Navarro was unable to participate in live performances due to a prolonged struggle with COVID-19. During his absence, Troy Van Leeuwen of Queens of the Stone Age and former Red Hot Chili Peppers guitarist Josh Klinghoffer stepped in to fill his role on stage.
The tour will be supported by English rock band Love and Rockets. The announcement comes just ahead of the band’s return to the United Kingdom, where they performed with the classic lineup for the first time in 14 years.
