Sukuna unleashes another powerful attack
Yuji asks Choso to teach him Convergence but Choso isn’t a great teacher. Meanwhile, Kamo explains Convergence and Blood Manipulation properly. Choso offers to teach Supernova. But Kamo says Yuji should only learn Blood Manipulation. Choso pouts because he doesn’t get to teach Yuji. Additionally, Yuji reveals Yuta’s the second person he swapped souls with.
The narration explains that the door to Kamino (flame attack) will only open after going through the cooking processes of Cleave and Dismantle. Kamino has a smaller range and lacks speed. Sukuna used a Binding Vow on himself to fix these. Uraume says it’s their win, while the narration says that Kamino’s heat eventually leads to the death of living things inside the Domain. This was what killed Mahoraga in one hit.
During Sukuna vs. Gojo, Sukuna needed to continuously change his Domain’s specifications, narrowing the effective range. He figured it wasn’t enough to bring out Kamino, so he had to seal it during the Gojo fight.
Choso sacrifices himself to protect Yuji
Before the flames hit Yuji, Choso creates a barrier around him, protecting Yuji inside while sacrificing himself. Choso apologizes to Yuji for not being helpful during training. They suddenly appear in their imaginary world. Choso commends Yuji for learning the Reverse Cursed Technique quicker than him. Yuji tells him it’s because Sukuna used his body. Choso says he believes younger brothers are meant to exceed their older siblings.
Yuji gets mad at Choso, saying he can’t just disappear. Choso says he needs to apologize to Yuki. He apologizes to Yuji for leaving him alone again. Yuji says Choso was by his side during the toughest times, and that’s more than enough. Eso and Kechizu call for Choso.
In his last words, Choso expresses gratitude to Yuji for becoming his brother. Yuji feels helpless. The narration says Yuji’s convinced that he’s supposed to be a cog, so no matter what happens, he’s supposed to fulfill his role. However, the foundation of Yuji’s resolve is weakened after Choso’s death. Sukuna approaches Yuji, but Todo suddenly appears.
Todo joins the battle
In a flashback, Mei Mei and Todo plan to get people out of Sukuna’s Domain through her crows and his cursed technique. Mei Mei tells Todo he needs to expand his cursed technique’s range and asks him if he can do it. Todo says he’s not sure but claims he can feel the heartbeat of Boogie Woogie.
He also says Yuji can’t know about the plan since Sukuna might find out because of his strong connection to Yuji after being in his body. The narration says even Todo wasn’t sure of his allies’ safety and couldn’t move both Yuji and Choso outside since they were in the middle of the Domain.
Todo attempts to encourage Yuji, saying the others are probably okay. Yuji tries to strengthen his resolve by believing in Todo. Todo and Yuji approach Sukuna. Narration reveals Sukuna’s currently in a state where it’s hard to use his cursed technique following the Domain Expansion.
