Duran pleaded not guilty to 15 counts of first degree criminal sexual penetration for a string of rapes in 1990’s. Investigators say DNA evidence from a fork that Duran used at an Albuquerque restaurant matched DNA from multiple rape kits that were not tested until 2020.

Duran is accused of raping multiple women from 1990 to 1997. The trial will be overseen by Judge Clara Moran and is scheduled to last for two weeks.
