The series follows the story of fangirl Im Sol (Kim Hye-Yoon), who travels back in time to save her favorite idol Ryu Sun-Jae’s (Byeon Woo-Seok) life. Rain plays a significant role in their love story as it was during one of these days that Sun-Jae first saw Im Sol and fell in love with her at first sight. Guardian: The Lonely and Great God
Guardian: The Lonely and Great God follows the story of an immortal, Goblin Kim Shin (Gong Yoo), who is on the lookout for his bride. She can remove the sword from his chest, ending his life and giving him salvation. One day, a school student named Ji Eun-Tak (Kim Go-Eun) confesses to being his bride. Meanwhile, the season of monsoon plays a huge role in their story. The two first crossed paths while it was raining. The drama premiered on December 2, 2016, and is available to stream on Netflix and Viki.
Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha
Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha premiered on August 28, 2021. It follows the story of dentist Yoo Hye-Jin (Shin Min-Ah), who escapes the city and moves to the seaside village. After learning about the village having no dental facilities, she decides to open up a clinic there. Hye-Jin runs into the resident and the know-it-all Hong Do-Shik (Kim Seon-Ho), who helps her adjust to the villagers. Business Proposal
Business Proposal follows the story of employee Shin Ha-Ri (Kim Se-Jeong), who disguises herself as her best friend to go on a date on the latter’s behalf. However, she discovers the date is with her company’s CEO, Kang Tae-Moo (Ahn Hyo-Seop). He makes an unusual request that she isn’t able to deny. Rain plays a significant role in their relationship. Tae-Moo struggles with trauma as his parents die in the rain. However, Ha-Ri shields and helps him overcome his pain. The drama premiered on February 28, 2022, and is available to stream on Netflix.
Something in the Rain
Something in the Rain premiered on March 30, 2018, and follows the story of a woman named Yoon Jin-Ah (Seo Hye-Jin), who has been very unsuccessful in her dating life. Just when she is at a crossroads, she crosses paths with her childhood friend’s younger brother, Seo Joon-Hee (Jung Hae-In), who has returned from abroad. Jin-Ah gradually finds herself attracted to him and slowly the two fall in love with each other. The rain is built into the title and makes for a perfect watch for monsoon. Meanwhile, viewers can stream the drama on Netflix.
