NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – With summer approaching, many ski resorts and areas in New Mexico have switched up their offerings now that the snow is gone. If you are looking to get out in nature or go on an adventure, check out the below list of activities offered at various resorts in the state.


Head toward mountains in New Mexico for a break from heat

The Sipapu Ski & Summer Resort offers activities including fishing, disc golf, hiking, geocaching, and more. The resort also promotes other activities nearby such as paddleboarding, rafting, golf, horseback riding, llama adventures, mountain biking, off-road, ATV, and dirt bike trails

Red River Ski & Summer Area offers a variety of activities for its visitors including hiking, disc golf, mini golf, scenic chairlift, mountain tubing, an aerial park, and a zip line. See other activities in the area here.

Taos Ski Valley has added some new activities for summer 2024. It will now offer all-level mountain bike lessons and pickleball. Other activities include the Via Ferrata climbing tour, hiking, scenic lift rides, e-bikes, and other events.

Ski Apache offers ziplining, mountain biking, scenic gondola rides, and hiking at the resort.

Angel Fire Resort has several activities including golf, boating, paddleboarding, scenic chairlift rides, tennis, pickleball, hiking, biking, ziplining, disc golf, fishing, and other events.

Pajarito Mountain Ski Area one of the main offerings at this location is biking. It has a bike park and trails. A lift will bring you to the bike area that also offers areas to hike in. Pajarito also hosts multiple events throughout the summer.

Enchanted Forest Cross Country Ski Area has hiking and biking trails, Nordic Walking, and yurt rentals.
