The M3GAN 2.0 release date has been delayed again for Blumhouse and Universal’s upcoming horror movie.
When is M3GAN 2.0 coming out?
The wait for the M3GAN 2.0 will be a bit longer as it is now arriving on June 27, 2025. This is the second delay for the film, which was originally set to release on January 17. 2025, before the M3GAN 2.0 release date was bumped to May 16, 2025.
Allison Williams and Violet McGraw are both reprising their roles in M3GAN 2.0, though further plot details remain under wraps at this time. Akela Cooper is once again writing the script, while James Wan is producing the movie.
“M3GAN is a marvel of artificial intelligence, a life-like doll programmed to be a child’s greatest companion and a parent’s greatest ally,” the synopsis reads for the first film. “Designed by brilliant toy-company roboticist Gemma (Williams), M3GAN can listen and watch and learn as she becomes friend and teacher, playmate and protector, for the child she is bonded to. When Gemma suddenly becomes the caretaker of her orphaned 8-year-old niece, Cady (McGraw), Gemma’s unsure and unprepared to be a parent. Under intense pressure at work, Gemma decides to pair her M3GAN prototype with Cady in an attempt to resolve both problems—a decision that will have unimaginable consequences.”
McGraw told ComingSoon in a March 2023 interview about people’s reaction to M3GAN and the upcoming sequel, “I love that people are loving it. I think that it’s really funny, like I love Cady so much and I love that some people are calling her their favorite character and it makes me so grateful to be a part of such an amazing iconic film. But it was just really amazing. I was in shock when I like heard how fast M3GAN 2.0 was coming. I’m like, ‘Oh, already? Okay.’ But I’m so excited to work with that whole crew again. But I’m so glad people loved the film so much.”
